The objective of this CD Redesign project is to take an album already established and loved, and give it a new spin using new original photography. For the CD packaging it was necessary to design front and back covers, a lyric book, a tray card, and a CD to all be cohesive and intriguing.

Shot Planning
When shooting Emotionalism the goal was to create album artwork that was interesting but at the same time have an at home feel to it. The music itself is a mix of bluegrass and folk. It has a very earthy feel to it which inspired shooting local international food stores. Grocery stores remind many of hometowns and childhood, so even though some modeled photoshoots and landscape photography were planned for the lyric book, free shooting street photography was the route taken. This keeps the images interesting and organic, while also adding pops of color to draw the eye.
