Summary
Chorus is a live music finding app meant to make listening to local music in all forms more available to everyone. With a focus on smaller shows at local venues, houses, and bars, Chorus is meant to connect local music communities of all kinds. It is community driven yet personalized by entering in preferences of venues, genres, price range, or bands close by.
Inspiration and Reason
As someone who attends a lot of concerts, both of local artists and larger artists, it can be difficult to find concerts or house shows near you on any given night. The same goes for finding venues that are accessible and friendly to people who can not stand for long periods of time. I found a need in my own life as well as my peer’s for a place where it is easy and fun to find something to do for the weekend or even to plan a trip to a jazz club etc. Live music connects us and information about it should be more available than it is.
